Sanjaya Malakar is the next big American dream or a disgrace? I did a lot of browsing about Sanjaya Malakar today in Internet. He has surely overshadowed everyone involved with American Idol 2007. It seems that some people hate him and are ready to do anything to see that Sanjaya Malakar does not become the American Idol. I happily disagree with them and I am stating some reasons behind my opinion.
- Sanjaya Malakar is a good example of the American dream. He was an obscure person before he entered American Idol. He got selected and won the heart of millions of fans. Thus, he is the best example of the philosophy of American Idol.
- Sanjaya Malakar is calm, cool and gentle. Yes, I bet that millions of American Idol fans love him for this quality and they are voting for him week after week.
- Sanjaya Malakar comes from a musical family. So, don’t give me the crap that he is not talented. Many of those who are criticizing him unfairly have little or no idea about the rich tradition of Indian music.
- Music is a part of religion in
India and Sanjaya Malakar’s father is a musician too. He knows classical Indian music. Sanjaya Malakar learnt well from his father and I feel that Sanjaya Malakar can bring the variation in American music. - Sanjaya Malakar has a nice voice- much better than many of the American idol contestants. He has huge potential to be a top singer.
- Sanjaya Malakar is improving every week. This week, he sang Besame Mucho in such a good way that even Simon Cowell was compelled to give him a “complement” that he was not horrible. Don’t forget that Besame Mucho is a difficult song to sing and he did great.
- Ordinary people love Sanjaya Malakar and American Idol is the program for all the people not just for some high class snobs.
- Sanjaya Malakar is now the most famous American contestant. No contestant could create so much media hype in American Idol until now. This shows that he has something in him.
- Sanjaya Malakar has a lot of mental strength and I admire him a lot for his ability to tolerate the criticism and handle the situation in a cool and calm manner.
Can you add any reason?
Sanjaya is a horrid singer. He sucks and I wanna see him voted off!!!!!! I also want to see him sing "Hips Don't lie" so he can embarres himself. But at this point he already is so it doesn't really matter.
