PROVOKED: Official Website review

Aishwarya Rai’s latest movie Provoked reminds me of Jennifer Lopez's Enough. In this movie, Lopez plays the character of a house wife who runs away with her daughter from her abusive husband. Finding no other way, she confronts him and kills him. In the end, she comes out clean of the incident and lives happily with her daughter. Provoked has a similar story with an unhappy ending. Based on real life story of an abused wife Kiranjit Ahluwalia, the movie has been praised by the critics and viewers have shown great interest about the movie.

Homepage: http://www.provokedthemovie.com/index.html

The homepage would give you the feeling that the movie deals with a very serious issue; dark and disappointing. The black and white picture of the prison cell and that desperate look of a woman behind bars would put the viewers in proper mood. Black and white colors have been used all over the website. On the lower right portion of the homepage, there is a small window that would allow the viewers to watch the movie trailer.

Under the picture you will see the following links:

Updates: You would get the release date of the movie in India and London.

Cast and credits: Names of casts and crews.

Distributors around the world: Name of the companies that are distributing the movie around the world.

Trade enquiries: For those who are interested in screening, co-branding, merchandising, community projects and sponsorships and so on.

Press Release; Provoke at Cannes/IIFA; Provoked and the community: All these three links do not have any information at present.

If you want to know more about the movie, you can enter the site using the “Enter Site” link on the upper right side corner of the homepage. Clicking on the link would take you to another page.

Designed with flash player, the page starts with a short intro about the movie with music playing in the background. If you want you can skip the intro. After the intro finishes a picture of a jailhouse study room comes in. The files and books on the study table are the links. You can download pictures, see the gallery, guest book and other information.

Overall, the website very well coincides with the mood of the movie.
