Americans love to search for conspiracy behind everything. So, I am not surprised to see that many Americans believe that there is a conspiracy about the amazing run of Sanjaya Malakar.

So the latest conspiracy theory posits that it is the Indian call centers that so many of us Americans now deal with when calling our credit card companies, that may be pumping up Sanjaya Malakar’s weekly vote totals on American Idol.
(Apparently, the Hindu elephant-god Ganapati (or Ganesha) may be using his powers to generate all of these calls.)
Well, I never believe this matter because most Indian call center workers cannot call and even if they could call they would not waste their time and money. Hardly anyone knows about Sanjaya Malakar.

According to the AP, Sanjaya is virtually unknown in
India , partly because “the show is broadcast a day late in, and on an English-language channel that attracts relatively few viewers in this country of 1.1 billion.” India The AP story is also dubious of claims that Indian call center operators are voting for Sanjaya: “Most workers have calls automatically dialed for them by computers. They couldn’t even call next door if they wanted to.”
So, what is your idea about this matter?
