Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s wedding has already created a huge splash in Mumbai film society. All the who’s who of Mumbai film industry and the journalists, and the common people are looking forward to the wedding ceremony.
Earlier, rumor spread out that the wedding ceremony would be a grand ceremony with more than 6000 guests invited, followed by a ten day ceremony at a princely state, with artists from all over India performing, helicopters showering flowers and the list goes on; but the latest news is that the wedding ceremony will be a KISS (KEEP IT SHORT AND SIMPLE).
Every second socialite and her dress designer in Bollywood are claiming they have been invited to the Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding on April 20, to be held at the Bachchan residence.
The jury is still out on whether the events will take place at Jalsa or Prateeksha, the two bungalows owned by Bachchans, or would be divided between the two venues.
Meanwhile, it is confirmed that no invitations have been issued to any of these wannabe guests and tough luck, none is likely to be issued either.
A source close to the family says, "Everyone who is trying to get a mention in the media by claiming to be invited to the wedding is lying. 'Have you been invited to the wedding?' has become the first question at all social dos. And since a negative reply to that is an embarrassment, people are faking an invitation."
In truth, the Bachchans have decided to make it a very private family affair. Our source says, "The decision on how big the wedding would finally be, was left to Jaya. She decided to make it a closed-door, simple and quick ceremony at their residence. With Amitji's mother unwell, the last thing the family needs is a lavish celebration. Thus the invitees have been limited to family only, and Amar Singh and his wife."
Although a film family, the Bachchans always kept their affairs very private. Even Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan did not talk about their relationship in the beginning and now they have not disclosed the names of the guests invited to the party. So far two names have come up Mukesh and Tina Ambani and Amar Singh, the leader of the Samajwadi party. However, many people are looking forward to get invited to one of big weddings in the history of Bollywood.
