Indian tennis super star Sania Mirza has really a good news ahead of French Open Tournament 2007. Sania Mirza is now has a ranking of 50 in singles competition. I was a bit surprised at it as Sania had a very early exit in singles of Istanbul Cup last week. So, I thought that her ranking might suffer. The interesting thing is that just a week ago, I wrote that her singles ranking was 52.
Moreover, Sania’s doubles ranking is 37 and she might be very confident this time of doing something impressive in French Open Tennis 2007.

Sania was ranked 50th with 488.00 points. The 20-year-old Indian star, who returned from around a long injury lay-off, lost in the singles opening rounds of Morocco Open and Istanbul Cup Tier IV and III tournaments respectively.
Sania will now be seen in action in the French open, where she will open her camapign against Italian Alberta Brianti.
She had won the doubles title in the Morocco and reached the final in Istanbul, Turkey with different partners but was not benefitted much as she maintained her 37th position with 1042.00 points in the doubles rankings.
I think, Sania Mirza has a great potential and what is only needed is to continue working hardand developing her game. Well, I feel that she is too much busy with advertisements and using her sex appeal than focusing on her tennis.
