The first ODI match between Bangladesh vs. India is now going on at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka. Bangladesh could make a decent total of 250 for 7. India is now batting. In the Bangladesh innings two batsmen got half century. Opener Javed Omar scored highest 80 runs for Bangladesh.

This veteran member of Bangladesh team, Javed Omar was left out from ODI team for his slow batting in the past. However, Javed has again proved that he has yet to give a lot to Bangladesh cricket. His 80 runs came off 117 balls but which is most important is that he played solidly like an anchor. First his opening partnership with Tamim Iqbal of 78 runs gave a base to the innings and then in the third wicket, Javed along with Saqibul Hasan made a 107 runs partnership off 129 balls.

In this spectacular innings, Javed Omar played 7 fours and 2 sixes. I am happy that he played solidly. Let us see if Javed Omar’s effort can win the match for Bangladesh or not.
