These two characters are like crusade warriors. They are devoted to uproot evil and evil doers from the society. They are the heroes of the oppressed. Whereever there is oppression they will appear.

 

V for Vendetta:

A comic hero who was taken to big screen in 2005. The famous Wachowski brothers (Matrix Trilogy) wrote the script. Hugo Weaving played the character of V. V first appeared in a comic series titled “Warrior.” It was published in Britain from 1982 to 1985. In a near future, after a nuclear war, a fascist government is running Britain. A freedom fighter known as V has declared war against them. Nobody has seen V’s face. He wears a Guy Fawkes mask, and keeps on killing government people and destroying government offices. The comic book series was illustrated by David Lloyd and written by Alan Moore. 

 

Zorro:

This masked crusader was actually the character of a pulp magazine story series written by Johston McCulley in 1919. In McCulley’s story The Curse of Capristano, Zorro first appeared. At present, we see Zorro dressed in black; black mask covered up to his nose, black hat, and boots and a black Andalusian hat. Actually, the character of Cullye’s story did not wear such dress in the first place. In 1920, Douglas Fairbanks Sr. played the character of Zorro in The Mark of Zorro wearing black mask and black dress. From their Culley took the idea and used it later. Many say that McCulley actually found his inspiration to create this character from a novel, "The Scarlet Pimpernel;" but there are many other opinions. However, Mc Culley’s Zorro inspired the creation of masked crusaders like Batman.
