The Mask:

You all know Stanley Ipkiss, an Edge city dwelling bank clerk with no luck in romance. Suddenly one day, he finds this green wooden mask. After wearing it, he turns into a green faced man with extra ordinary powers. He becomes famous as “The Mask”. The Mask is a comedy character but I think it can be included in the super hero lot because it has many common features with Spider-Man. Spider-Man a.k.a Peter Parker is an ordinary guy who was bitten by a spider exposed to radio active materials and gained super power. Stanley Ipkiss, is also a very simple man who comes across this mask with dark power. The mask brings out a man with green face who can do any thing instantly. At the end of the movie, we see the mask fights with Dorian Tyrell’s gang and saves the mayor and Stanley’s lady love, Tina. 

The Phantom:

Phantom is a very significant figure in the history comics. Why? He is the first crazed crusader with a skin tight costume. Phantom was created by Lee Falk and started to appear as a news paper strip in 1936. At first it was black and white. In 1939, colored version started to come out and still it is continuing. Christoper Walker, a sailor first started out as the Phantom. His generation continued that saga. Phantom appeared in comics, cartoons and movies. In the 1980’s Phantom appeared in a cartoon series, Defenders of the Earth. In 1943, Columbia pictures started a movie series titled The Phantom.
