After facing some odds, the upcoming India vs. South Africa ODI series is now under no doubt as BCCI has recently came up with a deal with Nimbus Communications Ltd. The amount of deal is $6.05 million for each of three ODI matches in the series against South Africa. On the other hand, India will also play a charity ODI match against Pakistan earlier of the ODI series against South Africa and Nimbus will telecast live all of the ODI matches.

Earlier, the series became doubtful as India’s popular TV channel Zee cancelled a deal with BCCI.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India signed a deal with Indian broadcaster Nimbus Communications Ltd worth $6.05 million (3 million pounds) for each of the three matches as well as a charity one-dayer against Pakistan in Glasgow on July 3.

The series was thrown into doubt on Wednesday after Zee Telefilms, one of India's largest media firms, cancelled its deal worth over $200 million for telecasting games involving India in non-test overseas venues over four years.

Zee said the BCCI did not meet its demand to reduce the price for revenue loss due to a government directive to share live feed of cricket matches involving India with the state-run channel.

I feel good that the series will be held on due date. I think, BCCI sometimes gives more importance to business than cricket. This is another example of the power of TV in modern cricket.
