India has won Grameenphone Test Series after winning the second test match in Mirpur. Today, in the third day of the second test, Bangladesh got all out at 253 in their second innings. Bangladesh started the day from previous day’s 58 for 5 in the first innings. However, Bangladesh lost Shakib Al Hasan at 30 and eventually it was the highest score of the first innings of Bangladesh. In the first innings, Bangladesh got all out at 118. Indian pacer Zaheer Khan took 5 wickets conceding just 34 runs in his 10 overs. Veteran spinner Anil Kumble took 3 for 32.

Being followed on, Bangladesh came to bat again but this time they could show some resistance against the Indian bowlers. Mohammad Ashraful played a superb innings of 67 off 41 balls with 12 boundaries and 2 sixes. In the lower order, Mashrafe Mortaza’s willow again clicked and Bangladesh got a huge boost. Mashrafe scored the innings highest 70 runs off just 68 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Except these two innings, Rajin Saleh scored 42 off 46 balls with 8 fours. Among the Indian bowlers Ramesh Powar captured highest 3 wickets for India. Zaheer Khan, Anil Kumble and Sachin Tendulkar got 2 wickets each.

Zaheer Khan was selected Man of the Match and Sachin Tendulkar received the Man of the Series award.
