It is surely a bad news for those people who were enjoying the media circus about kissing Shilpa Shetty controversy. The Indian Supreme Court has intervened in this matter and Richard Gere would not have to be worried while traveling to India.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the proceedings in obscenity cases initiated against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty in various courts in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in connection with the controversial public kiss by Hollywood star Richard Gere during an AIDS awareness function on April 15 in the capital.

A Bench headed by Justice KG Balakrishnan also issued notices to various complainants on her petition seeking transfer of all the cases related to the controversy to Mumbai.

This has surely come to a great relief for both Shilpa Shetty and Richard Gere. Gere travels to India regularly. So, having a case in an Indian court would have created bad problems for him. On the other hand, Shilpa Shetty would be happy that now she can focus on her career totally instead of wasting energy after a case.
