Do you have a personal goal for Indian tennis?
Personally, I have many goals for Indian tennis! I have always believed we have a lot of talent in the country, which is why we have always had juniors ranked high in the World. Where we have been falling behind is the fact that there is no system to ensure these talented juniors receive the guidance to take the step from leading juniors to leading professionals.
Have you set yourself a time target for getting an Indian player into the elite level (top 30)?
It's an ongoing process. We would ideally like to say ten good years, but having said that, we have some good talent currently in Akash, Christopher, Kyra and Aishwarya. If a couple of them break through, it will be a great start for the rest to follow.
