Young pace bowler of Bangladesh cricket team, Mashrafe Mortaza showed a top class form in the drawn first test of the Grameenphone Test series against India. For his all round performance, Mortaza got the man of the match award as he rescued Bangladesh from defeat. The Narail Express famed Mashrafee Mortaza played a wonderful innings of 79 facing just 91 balls. Though he could not get his first test century, Mashrafe Mortaza is happy enough for saving Bangladesh from follow on in the first innings.

Mortaza has stated that the inclusion of Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly could bring a big change in India’s test team. Here, it is noteworthy that both Sachin and Sourav were out of the India’s ODI team in the ODI series against Bangladesh.

''Definitely when Sachin and Sourav are in the team, there is a big change,'' said Mortaza, talking to reporters after the fourth day's play of the first Test here today, when asked to compare the Indian ODI side with the Test side.

 

Mortaza is not disappointed at missing out on his first Test century, saying, ''No, I am not disappointed. The main thing is that my team has recovered a lot from the situation it was in.''
