The organizers of Miss Universe 2007 are perhaps very happy that they could successfully organize the event without any major problem. Yes, there was no major problem but there was surely a very big controversy over whether contests like Miss Universe degrade the image of the women or not. In fact, Miss Sweden 2007 Isabel Lestapier Winqvist pulled herself out of the contest after there was a strong backlash against Miss Universe 2007.
On the other hand, Miss Japan 2007 Riyo Mori has won the crown of Miss Universe 2007. She caused a major upset in this year’s competition. Riyo Mori is what the organizers of Miss Universe 2007 wanted. Riyo Mori is hot, sexy and beautiful and is ready to show her physical beauty in an attractive way. Many fans of Isabel Lestapier Winqvis surely did not want her to do the same thing that Riyo Mori did.
So, I wonder what legacy Miss Universe 2007 will have in future. Will it be famous for the upset victory of Riyo Mori or will it be remembered as the contest in which Isabel Lestapier Winqvis pulled herself out? I feel that Miss Universe 2007 will be mostly remembered in future for Isabel Lestapier Winqvist.
I agree, it caused more headlines! And if she would have been in it she would have won!
