After 4 days, we have Miss Universe 2007. I don’t need to explain you that it is an international beauty contest and perhaps the most prestigious one. This year, Puja Gupta is India’s representative in Miss Universe beauty pageant. She is beautiful and gorgeous- I have no doubt about that matter. However, she is not famous at all. Even Wikipedia does not contain an entry on her.

Last month, we covered Miss India 2007 beauty pageant extensively in this blog. About Puja Gupta, my co-blogger Mehdi Hassan wrote:

Some girls want to be model, some actress, some money and fame but Puja Gupta is exceptional. Her dream is to become a writer. Independent, friendly, Puja loves yoga, writing, horse riding and drawing. She is an outgoing person who loves to travel meet new people and know about other cultures.

I searched a lot and failed to find a comprehensive biography of Puja Gupta. May be there is a good biography of her but I could not find. There is not a lot of buzz in the Indian media about Puja Gupta at this moment. Just do a search in Google News about Puja Gupta and you will understand what I mean. May be this is a good blessing for her as she will not be under a lot of pressure.

Anyway, I wish Puja Gupta all the luck in Miss Universe 2007.
