Pritam who has given chart busters like Dhoom, Gangster, Who Lamhe, Bhagam Bhag, Dhoom 2, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, Garam Masala, Chocolate, has not been able to stir Hindi song lovers with his latest released Raqeeb.Raqeeb, a thriller movie is supposed to be released in next month. The promo of the movie is broadcast in various television channels but the music so far has not been well accepted by the listeners.
Music India Online reports:
K.K sings the romantic track 'Jaane Kaise' and one looks forward to it because the team of K.K and Pritam have worked wonders in the past. Though K.K is his original self, the song doesn’t get a better deal for the average tune. With high expectations riding on Pritam, this does turn disappointing. There is a remix version following as well but even with a new touch of beats and rhythm it fails to grasp any attention.
'Channa Ve Channa' is a mix of tradition of Indian and western music and you can get a glimpse of Raj Kanwar's style and Pritam's arrangement at play. But the track doesn’t do justice to any of the genre and is just a passé. Gayatri Ganjawala renders the song.
Though 'Dushmana' shows some potential at the beginning it soon bites the dust. The song comes in two version rendered by Kunal Ganjawala and Sunidhi Chauhan. The lyrics are trademark Sameer and the track can be termed as the title song of the album. Durable music and Sunidhi's rendition of this fast moving number makes it listenable.
The movie contains five songs. Three songs have their remix versions. The director of the movie, Anurag Singh is debutant. Except, Tanushree Datta and Sharman Joshi, the movie do not have any high profile Bollywood actors and actresses. The only other positive factor about this movie is ace music director Pritam but he also failed to give any chartbusters this time.
