Yesterday, I wrote about Sania Mirza reaching Doubles Semi-finals of Istanbul Cup 2007. You will be happy to know that Sania Mirza along with her doubles partner Yung-Jan Chan from Taiwan is now in the final of Istanbul Cup 2007. Just a few hours ago, they defeated Mervana Jugic-Salkic of Bosnia and Italian Romina Oprandi. So, Sania is just one match away from winning the doubles trophy of Istanbul Cup 2007.

Sania and Yung-Jan were leading 5-1 in the opening set after breaking their opponents in the first game of the match but squandered the advantage by allowing Mervana and Romina to rally back to level scores 5-5 and stretch the game into the tie breaker.

A win here would surely boost confidence of Sania Mirza ahead of French Open 2007. Sania is surely becoming matured as a doubles player while her form in singles is not improving.
