Sourav Ganguly, one of the finest cricketers of today’s cricket, has been left out of Indian ODI squad for the upcoming series to Bangladesh. However, he could make it in the Test team. Though he has been the most consistent batsmen in the team, selectors played a bad trick and did not include him in the ODI series against Bangladesh. In World Cup Cricket 2007, Sourav Ganguly showed his consistency scoring 162 runs in three matches at an average of 54. In fact, he was the only player to bat well in World Cup 2007 for India.
The most important thing is that since his coming back to the team in the tour to South Africa, Sourav Ganguly has been showing his consistent batting in almost every match. He has more than ten thousand ODI runs in his career. So, in the upcoming test series against Bangladesh will be a challenge for this left handed batsman.
I think, Sourav Ganguly would be the most dangerous batsmen for the Bangladeshi bowlers in the test series. In Dhaka, he played very well in the past.
