The second edition of the Afro-Asia Cup will start from tomorrow. Many fans are excited with the tournament to see a pool of star players from these two continents. However, the reality is that the Afro-Asia Cup 2007 is going to be a star-less competition. Many star cricketers from both the continents have already pulled themselves out from this tournament. To tell you the truth, the list of such players is very long- Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Chaminda Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan, Graeme Smith, Jaques Kallis and Andrew Hall. Moreover, Shaun Pollock will play just as a batsman in the tournament.
Anyway, there are some stars still in the competition who are enough to attract you to keep your eyes to this tournament. Sourav Ganguly Sanath Jayasuriya and Mahela Jayawardene will take part in the competition. Apart from the stars there are some other young stars including S Sreesanth from India, Mohammed Ashraful, Tamim Iqbal, Mashrafee Mortaza from Bangladesh and Shoaib Malik of Pakistan.
