Many people of Indian origin are living in UK and they are crazy for Bollywood movies. So, it is great to see that International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) is taking place in the UK this time. Many Bollywood celebrities have come to the UK to join the ceremony. IIFA award ceremony is taking place in Yorkshire. Amitabh Bachchan and his son and daughter-in-law, Abhishek, Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty are among the notable Bollywood stars to be present in IIFA.

But it is thought that Shah Rukh Khan, dubbed "King Khan," will not attend, amid reports of a rumbling row with the Bachchans, despite being scheduled to appear in London on Thursday for a charity auction.
The highlight will be the awards ceremony in Sheffield late Saturday plus a cricket match featuring some of the stars. About 30,000 overseas visitors are expected to pour into Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, York and Hull for the events.
The choice of the county of Yorkshire, an area built on heavy industry such as mining, to host the event has raised some eyebrows, but there are several reasons why the IIFAs have come to the relatively unglamorous location.
Britain is now a very important market for Bollywood movies. The income potential for Bollywood is enormous. On the other hand, British government and traders are optimistic that events like IIFA would help to influence more rich Indians to travel to Britain. So, it really can be a win-win situation for both India and the UK.
