Only 6-7 years ago, Zimbabwe had a World Class cricket team and they could fight with almost all the teams in the World. However, 4-5 years ago, Zimbabwean cricket got plagued with politics and suddenly Zimbabwean national team became a shadow of the past. Now, Zimbabwe is perhaps the lowest ranking team among the test playing countries. The sad part is that Indian cricket is plagued with politics now.

On the one hand, BCCI officials could not manage a coach for Indian team yet. From the failed selection process, it was clear that some people in BCCI played some dirty tricks. First, everyone thought that BCCI has selected Dav Whatmore and then all of a sudden, BCCI officials stated that they were not even considering Dav Whatmore for the job. Then they selected Ford and another drama was staged. The drama about coach is going to continue for the time being.

On the other hand, BCCI officials are not happy with the coming of Indian Cricket League in Indian cricket.

BCCI officials are busy with everything except cricket. They are not concerned about the fact that India is not producing good quality young players for the next generation. So, I would really not get surprised if India walks in the way of Zimbabwe in near future.
