The drama about Dav Whatmore is perhaps finally coming to an end. Last month, we saw him coaching Bangladesh. Dav was expected to take charge of Indian team as their coach. When everything looked confirm then some people in BCCI played a dirty trick and managed to stop Dav Whatmore from taking the job. BCCI officials have not stated clearly until now the reason of not selecting Dav Whatmore.

Anyway, now, Dav is the hot favorite to become the coach of Pakistan cricket team. He has been interviewed by PCB officials and now he is waiting for the final result.

The 53-year-old former Bangladesh coach was interviewed by a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) panel yesterday as one of three possible replacements for Bob Woolmer, who died at the World Cup in March.

Police initially said Woolmer was murdered but earlier this month announced that he died of natural causes.

The other contenders are Whatmore’s countrymen Richard Done and Geoff Lawson, who were interviewed earlier this week.

I personally feel that Whatmore has a better track record than Richard Done and Geoff Lawson. He has done magic with Sri Lankan team and then Bangladesh cricket team. I would not be shocked if he can do the same for Indian team.
