The ‘Oscar of Bollywood’ famed International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) has created an enormous media buzz. This time IIFA award giving ceremony was held in Yorkshire, England. The IIFA 2007 Best Actor awards went to stylish actor Hrithik Roshan for his tremendous acting in the movie ‘Krrish’. The movie ‘Krrish’ was one of the blockbuster hit movies of last year directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, father of Hrithik Roshan.

You need not to be a movie specialist to understand the current popularity of Hrithik Roshan and his domination in Bollywood. Hrithik Roshan came into Bollywood as a child artist through the movie Aasha followed by two other movies as a child artist. However, today’s heartthrob actor first came into lime light through his debut movie (as an adult artist) ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’, most successful movie in 2000. ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’ was also directed by his father Rakesh Roshan.

Krrish is the first Bollywood movie based on the story of a super human. So, the movie came under the attention of the people before it was released. It is said that Hrithik had to act in some risky action scene. The movie got a huge popularity both in home and abroad. Hrithik Roshan was also praised for his tremendous performance in the movie. It is natural that Hrithik Roshan is now extremely happy with this grand honor of getting the IIFA Best Actor 2007 award.
