However, this Bengali actress has won the Best Actress award of International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2007. Rani has been given the award for playing the role Maya Talwar in the movie ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, one of the hit movies of last year.

Though the movie created a huge controversy in India because of its story that does not go with the culture of India, the movie was critically acclaimed and Rani playing the female lead role in the movie could impress the critics. Rani also bagged the Best Actress award in the last two years in IIFA. So, you can easily understand that Rani is a great actress.
