Javed Akhtar - a renouned name in the music industry - has he suddenly lost his sanity?? Throughout INDIAN IDOL Season III, he has been favouring Ankita Mishra, fine, accepted; everyone can have his own preferences (although a judge should never exhibit his personal preference/partiality in public); nevertheless his demeaning, demoralising and baseless comments to Emon Chatterjee are unjustified and unfair. It is not expected from a man of his stature. His very attitude is condemnable. He has just absolutely no right to predict and dictate Emon’s future (“Emon will be neither a successful singer nor a successful performer” – Javed Akhtar). He is no God. So, under the circumstances, I would like to request the authorities of SONY TV to re-consider the credibility of Javed Akhtar’s very status as a Judge for the Indian Idol Season IV.
