Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is now in the media headlines perhaps for the wrong reason. The famous singer Daler Mehendi and his fans are extremely angry with Yash Raj Films. A court case has been filed and now some fans of Daler Mehendi are protesting in the street too.

Yash Chopra war has taken a new turn. Fans of Daler Mehendi are burning posters and effigies of Yash Chopra as a demonstration of protest against the filmmaker who has infuriated Mehendi. The whole story started when Daler Mehendi filed a case against Yash Raj Films claiming damages. Reportedly the singer had recorded a song for Yash Raj Films’upcoming Jhoom Barabar Jhoom but his voice was later replaced by Shankar Mahadevan on the cassettes and CDs of the film. However, sources at Yash Raj claim that Daler was informed about this move.

Daler has not only filed a case of criminal breach of trust against Yash Chopra but perhaps has also instigated his fans so much so that they are demonstrating their protest against Yash Chopra by burning his posters and effigies.

Indiafm has come forward in support of Yash Chopra and has criticized Daler Mehendi. On the other hand, we are yet to see any public statement from Yash Chopra and his company. So, I am not sure who is really to blame in this whole incident. I guess that Yash Chopra should come forward and share his side of the story to the media.
