Indian cricket has passed its 75 years in test cricket arena.
India Times reported:
"It's extremely important to take the game to the grassroots level. Cricket needs to be taken to remote places in
India and, I'm sure, that's one of the major points on the BCCI agenda. That's how this game will get bigger and better," Tendulkar said. "Players from remote areas simply do not have access to play cricket. They need to be given opportunities to prove themselves by introducing cricket in every nook and corner of the country."
"Cricket is changing very fast and we need to keep pace with time. And when you will have more players playing the game, you will have more players to choose from. That will ensure a good supply of quality players in the long run."
Celebrating 75 years is something glorious but things are not going well in Indian cricket for the last few months. After a disappointing exit from World Cup 2007, the team is now under pressure. Recently, you all observed the drama staged by BCCI over the coach selection process. So, it is hard to be optimistic that BCCI officials will pay their attention to develop cricket from the root level instead of making plan for having some more cash.

ST is overly rated. He is a good bastman but comparing him Viv Richards is rdiculous.
