It is like landing in moon. Sachin Tendulkar is now the first human being to score 15,000 runs in One Day Cricket. I know that records are meant to be broken and this record will be sooner or later broken. Specially, there are too many one day cricket matches these days. Sachin has passed this land mark yesterday against South African cricket team in Ireland.

Sachin Tendulkar became the first player to reach 15,000 runs in one-day internationals while steering India to a six-wicket win over South Africa in the Future Cup in Belfast on Friday.

The 34-year-old from Bombay thumped 93, sharing an opening partnership of 134 with Saurav Ganguly (42), to help India reach their target of 227 with five balls to spare and level the three-match series 1-1.

The good thing is that not only Sachin passed the record but also India won the match. India lost the opening match against South Africa. So, all eyes will be to the final match of the series. If India can win that then surely Indian fans will be very happy.

As for Tendulker, he has every reason to celebrate now except the fact that he was very close to a century but could not score it.
