Wimbledon 2007 Tennis Tournament is going to start from tomorrow. Wimbledon is considered to be perhaps the most prestigious Grand Slam tennis event in the world. For Indian fans, Wimbledon 2007 has something to offer. They will keep a close eye on players like Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi. The good thing is that they are pairing up for the mixed doubles event in Wimbledon 2007. So, many Indian fans will keenly follow their advances in Wimbledon 2007.

The duo were expected to come together at the French Open three weeks ago but their combined doubles ranking fell outside the cut-off mark. Bhupathi's recent improvement since then to 20th place in the ATP computer seems to have helped their case, though.

Sania brushed aside apprehensions about facing Yaroslava Shvedova, who had beaten her on the way to winning the title at Bangalore Open earlier this year, in opening round of women's singles.

"Not a bad draw considering that this is a Grand Slam," the 20-year old Indian said.

I am happy that Sania and Mahesh are playing together. I would also love to see them playing together regularly in the Grand Slam tournaments. By the way, in 2008, we are going to have Olympics in China. Sania and Mahesh should think of that too.
