
Hansika first came into movie as a child artist. It was famous actress Juhi Chawla who noticed Hansika and recommended her name to the director. Unfortunately, her first movie, Yahoo, starring Juhi Chawla and Govinda was not released. Then he appeared in the Hyundai Santro TV commercial with Shah Rukh Khan. This time, it was also Juhi Chawla who recommended her.
Hansika got the opportunity to work in Koi Mil Gaya, starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. Koi Mil Gaya was the biggest hit of 2003. Hansika was one of the girls in the super six group in the movie. Koi Mil Gaya is a science fiction movie inspired from Steven Spielberg's famous movie on alien, E.T. That same year, Hansika did two more movies: Hawa, a horror movie and Escape From Taliban.
2004:
In 2004, Hansika again appeared in Jaago. Starring Sanjay Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Manoj Bajpai, Jaago tells the tragic story of a ten year old girl who is raped by three young people while returning home on a local train in Mumbai. The film was not very successful but for her performance Hansika Motwani got good reviews from the critics. The character “Shruti” played by Hansika Motwani did not have long presence in the movie but it was a major character and Hansika had to act in the rape scene which was a big challenge for a young girl like her. The film was based on the true story of a ten year old girl who was raped in 2002.
Hum Kaun Hai? is another horror movie, inspired by
Abra-Ka-Dabra is a 3D childrens movie. Anupam Kher also played a major role in this movie.
2007:
After two years, Hansika Motwani got her first big break as a lead actress. She appeared in a Telugu movie titled, Desamuduru. In this movie, she was paired up with actor Allu Arjun. She played the character of a Sanyasi (Saint). Hansika was paid Rs. 5 million for the movie.
However, Hansika’s debut Hindi film is Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story. In this movie, she was paired up with famous Bollywood singer, Himesh Reshammiya. Hansika Motwani played the character of an NRI girl, Ria. Because of good songs and brilliant marketing strategy, the movie did very good business in its opening week. Hansika’s real name was not given in the movie. She was publicized according to her screen name, Ria.
