Australia is going to play its debut match in Asian Cup 2007 against Oman. Undoubtedly, Australia is the big favorite in the tournament with some excellent players like Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell. In a warm up match, Oman could impress with their performance against favorite Saudi Arabia. The match was 1-1 draw. On the other hand, Australia got an ordinary win over weak Singapore by 3-0.
Today, I read an article on the coming match between Australia v Oman. The match will be held on July 8, 2007 in Rajamangala National Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand. In the article, the writer talked about the weakness and the strength of the teams and gave a prediction that Australia will win the match by 3-1.

Sportal.Com reported:
This won't be no walk in the park for the Socceroos against an Oman side ranked number seven in Asia. With the Australians still acclimatising to the fierce humidity of Bangkok and with the team having several injury worries and a makeshift defence, don't be surprised if Oman give the Socceroos a real contest. However with the class of Viduka and Harry Kewell up front, it's hard to see the Australians even being held to a draw much less losing but it wouldn't be a surprise if their understrength defence conceded one at the other end. AUSTRALIA to win 3-1
Well, I do not go for any prediction but I think the match will be really enjoyable and interesting for the fans as Australia will be alert to avoid causing any upset while Oman players will try heart and soul to be a giant killer in the competition.
