Vietnam is one of the co-hosts of AFC Asian Cup 2007. It is not exactly a rich country but in the last few years, Vietnamese economy witnessed healthy growth. Vietnam is not famous for tourism either. Hopefully, Asian Cup 2007 is going to change the fortune of the tourism sector of the country.
Vietnam is playing in B along with Japan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Qatar. The good thing is that all these 3 countries are very rich in Asia and many people from these 3 countries are now coming to Vietnam to enjoy the matches. Needless to say that it is going to give a boost to the tourism sector of Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Japan Airlines (JAL) said that many Japanese football fans use their services since they have air routes from Osaka and Tokyo to Hanoi. Its flights to Vietnam of JAL in the coming days have been fully booked.
Some other airways revealed that months before the event, many travel firms had booked seats for their customers to Vietnam.
Travel companies are complaining about not being able to buy tickets for Asian Cup while their Japanese customers only buy tours and book air tickets if they have football tickets.
Vietnam has got a good opportunity to portray its tourism sector. I hope that many people will get interested to visit this country. Actually, Asian countries need to cooperate with each other more about tourism. Many people from Asia travel to Europe and American every year for tourism. They should first see the beauty and ancient civilizations of Asia.
