Georgia Horsley won the crown of Miss England 2007 beauty pageant on last Saturday and she is officially the representative of England in upcoming Miss World 2007. Georgia is from the city of York and she became Miss York 2005. In 2005, she failed to win the crown of Miss England beauty pageant. So, it was a great comeback for Georgia Horsley. Of course, she is very happy now and she is determined to work hard to impress everyone in the final event of Miss World 2007.
Personal Life Georgia is 20 years old and she is studying about Beauty Therapy. Her height is 5 feet 8 inches. She has completed her A level with good grades. She had received bronze Duke of Edingburgh award. Georgia Horsley has blue eyes and blonde hair and I don’t need to explain much that this combination is considered to be beautiful in western world. She is interested about beauty and make up and she wants to build a career in the entertainment industry.
Georgia dreams to become a top model in future and by becoming Miss England 2007, she has gone one step closer to this dream. She also loves traveling and climbing mountains. Georgia is interested to know about other countries and other cultures. Good thing is that when she will go to China later this year to take part in the final of Miss World 2007 then she will meet contestants from over 100 countries and cultures.
Georgia Horsley in Miss England 2005 Georgia Horsley became Miss Kent 2005 and thus took part in Miss England 2005. That time, she was just 18 years old. Georgia managed to become one of the top 12 contestants in Miss England 2005. She is an ambitious girl and she decided to keep on working hard. Thus, she got an invitation come back to Miss England 2007.
In her words:
"I got a letter asking me to enter, so I thought it's a great opportunity for me to do it again. Miss Photographic involved getting photos taken at a studio in London and they are judged on the Miss England website. We are judged by quite a few methods of voting.
I didn't plan to go back in it, but I thought I'd give it a go and I would enjoy for me to do it again.”
Now, you can easily understand that Georgia took smartest decision in her life by taking part in Miss England 2007.
Miss England 2007 Miss England 2007 was indeed bigger than ever. 91 beautiful girls were selected to take part in the final of the competition. After she got the invitation to take part in the heat of Miss World 2007, Georgia worked hard and entered into the final stage. I think that her experience of 2005 helped her a lot. It was a battle of appearance and personality and some nerve. Georgia Horsley kept her nerve. She is beautiful and she a charming personality. So, she won the crown in the end.
After winning Miss England 2007, Georgia Horsley said:
I feel absolutely over the moon - I can't even begin to describe how I'm feeling. I can't believe I've won - it hasn't sunk in yet but I'm still on cloud nine at the moment.
"I'm very excited about entering the Miss World competition in China - I can't wait to see what I'm going to be doing. I'll be very proud to be representing York, especially because Naomi came in second place - it's just fantastic."
Future Plan Georgia Horsley can take some time to celebrate but then she has to be totally busy for Miss World 2007. She wants to be a model and a good performance in Miss World 2007 can help her a lot in this regard. Georgia also wants to promote her city York in England and in the world.
I would love to say that Georgia Horsley has become a big celebrity in England after winning the title of Miss World 2007. However, until now, that has not been the case. I searched a lot about her in Internet today and could not find a lot of information. So, I decided to write a long and detailed entry about her. My advice for Georgia is that she should open a blog as soon as possible so that she can communicate with people from all over the world.
It's extremely rare for someone to miss out on winning a national pageant - and then compete the next year and win it..
But I see that Georgia's chances are VERY high!
The girl really deserves to win this time. She's been working hard on building herself. I think it's time she it gets paid paid off.
