In Desamuduru, Hansika played the character of a young “Sanyasi” (Saint). The interesting thing about her character in this movie is that she does not have much dialogue. She can not speak Telugu but now she knows a few words.

In Desamuduru, Hansika Motwani had to dance but she was not good at it. On the day of the release of Desamuduru, Hansika with her fifty other class mates, went to see the movie. The first three days after the release of Desamuduru, the theatres were house-full.

Hansika is now getting many offers from the South but she has been very careful in choosing her projects. She refused many good movies with some of the well established South Indian actors. She felt that she was not ready.
