Synopsis:
Sophie (Urvashi Sharma) is a middle class girl who is going to marry her millionaire boy friend, Karan. In a party, Sophie meets Vicky (Akshaye Khanna), a struggling actor. Despite her relationship with Karan, Sophie is attracted to Vicky. There is also the presence of a third person, who is secretly filming the three. On the day of her wedding Sophie runs away. Who will Sophie chose? What is going to happen? Naqaab is a romantic thriller.

- Urvashi Sharma has signed a contract of doing eight movies with Tips Films. For a new comer like her, it is a big achievement.

- The story of Naqaab is taken from Dot the I starring Gael Garcia Bernal. The movie also took ideas from 1998 British black comedy, Lock stock and smoking Barrels.
- Before Naqaab, Akshaye Khanna and Bobby Deol worked in another thriller, titled Humraaz in 2002. It was also directed by Abbas-Mustan.
- Abbas-Mustan is known to be the pioneers of thriller movies in Bollywood. They popularized this genre. Shahrukh Khan’s first major hit, Baazigar was directed by them. Now they are planning to bring out a sequel of Baazigar.
- Both Urvashi and Bobby Deol are Punjabis which is why Urvashi felt very comfortable on the set of Naqaab. On her arrival, Bobby used to ask her in Punjabi style, “Ki Haal Hain?” (What’s up?). Urvashi Sharma enjoyed very much working with Bobby. She said that Bobby Deol is a very patient man. Bobby even gave her some dancing tips. Bobby also enjoyed working with Urvashi Sharma. According to Bobby, though a new comer, Urvashi is very confident.

- Urvashi Sharma did a stunt scene in Naqaab. In one of the songs, Urvashi Sharma was supposed to drive a motorboat. For the first time, when Urvashi shot the scene, she lost control of the boat and fell into water. Director Abbas-Mustan wanted to use a stunt double but Urvashi insisted to do it all by herself. Despite the directors warning, Urvashi drove the boat at a high speed. The director was worried but she controlled the boat pretty well and the shot was perfect. Urvashi Sharma’s dedication impressed the director very much.
