Chris Gayle is an attractive batsman and he plays for West Indies. He loves to hit ball and he can hit the ball really very hard. We have seen a number of quick fire innings from him. This kind of batting is ideal for Twenty20 format of cricket. Of course, a batsman must not get too cheaply too. Chris Gayle did not have a good time in ICC World Cup Cricket 2007 which took place in West Indies earlier this year.

The tournament may suit Gayle, ranked fifth-best all-rounder in the International Cricket Council's latest ODI rankings, and his hard-hitting style.

Indeed many spectators will be buying their tickets simply to see the likes of Gayle, Adam Gilchrist, Sanath Jayasuriya, Shahid Afridi and Kevin Pietersen belt the ball around.

However Gayle will have another role, as one of the Windies' players who can bowl spin, he will be called upon to provide a different approach to the quick bowling yorkers which are expected to dominate.

Chris Gayle is not having a good time in 2007. He had tremendous performance last year. Hopefully, Chris Gayle can make a turn around in Twenty20 World Championship 2007.
