"Not again! Not true at all!" Gowariker told IANS.
"I've been reading stories of Jodha Akbar being postponed every couple of months. These rumours are not true at all. We had locked in on October 12 as the release date since it coincides with Eid when audiences swamp the theatres. We've to be stupid or careless to let go of such a coveted date," he added.
There were also reports of Hrithik Roshan, who plays the main lead along with Aishwarya Rai, suffering an accident during the shooting of the film. But he too categorically denied anything of the sort.
Jodha Akbar is a very costly movie and many people were speculating that editing and other post production works of such a movie would take at least three months. Moreover, Hrithik Roshan’s injury and Aishwarya Bachchan’s marriage ceremony have elongated the shooting. Both Ashutosh Gowariker and Siddharth Roy Kapur, UTV senior vice president marketing and communications, denied the rumors and said that the movie will be released on October 12th and post production works are going on full swing. According to another report published in India FM, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Bachchan have already started dubbing for the movie.
