There are nearly 5 weeks to go before the start of Twenty20 World Cup Cricket 2007. Indian selectors have already announced their 15 member squad for the tournament. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been appointed as the captain of Indian team for Twenty20 World Cup.

I hope that you already know that Tendulkar, Ganguly and Dravid are not playing in Twenty20 World Cup Cricket. Therefore, India is going to have a young and inexperienced team. So, it will be a tough challenge for Dhoni. Dhoni is the vice-captain of Indian ODI side now.

The good thing is that Twenty20 is a new form of cricket for everyone. So, Dhoni’s lack of experience will not be a crucial issue in the tournament. Dhoni is a big hitter and this thing is going to work for him.

I just hope that Dhoni can perform well in Twenty20 World Cup Cricket. His lack of form angered many people in April during ICC World Cup Cricket 2007. I wish that this time it wont be repeated.
