West Indies is no longer the dominant force in World Cricket. The only thing West Indian fans can do these days is to remember the good old golden days. West Indies is playing in Twenty20 World Championship 2007 and no one is expecting them to do anything big in this tournament. Some days ago, West Indian selectors announced West Indian team/squad for Twenty20 World Championship 2007.

The players are:
Ramnaresh Sarwan (capt), Dwayne Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Pedro Collins, Narsingh Deonarine, Fidel Edwards, Chris Gayle, Runako Morton, Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels, Devon Smith, Dwayne Smith, Daren Powell, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Ravi Rampaul.
Obviously, Brian Lara is missing from the team as Lara has retired from international cricket. I just feel that Lara could have been a great asset for West Indies team as he was an aggressive and dominating type of batsman.
