The ongoing ODI series between India vs England is going to experience a classic end. India has won the fifth ODI by 38 runs reducing the England’s lead to 3-2. So, the upcoming Sixth ODI is going to be crucial for both England and India. The sixth ODI will be held at The Oval on 5 September. For India, the fifth ODI was like a final because England needed just one win to claim the series. So, naturally India was in pressure. However, India’s opening pair Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly put on a century partnership that built the foundation of a 300 plus score.

Flintoff was missed, inevitably, and with Chris Tremlett out because of a sore right foot, England lacked a tall bowler to support the new-ball attack. Surprisingly, they contrived to weaken both areas by splitting James Anderson and Stuart Broad. Jon Lewis was expensive in his opening burst and Broad less effective at first change. Three catches went down, including Tendulkar on 33 by Matt Prior standing up to Collingwood.
Now, ahead of the sixth ODI, both teams must be determined to play well and win the match. Two injuries of England will be vital for them to win the series.
