Rumor spread out that Ashutosh Gowariker fainted while shooting Jodha Akbar. Later, Ashutosh clarified that it was not him. While they were shooting in Jaipur, two local people who posed as soldiers fainted because of the heat. The heavy armor, helmet and the hot weather caused the trouble.  Soon they were  treated and the shooting started again.

In Jodha Akbar, Aishwarya rode on elephant. Before Jodha Akbar, she worked in Dhoom 2, a modern day movie with lots of actions with slick bikes. Jodha Akbar was the total opposite. Earlier in Bride and Prejudice, she had the chance to ride on elephant. 

Hrithik was under great pressure while shooting Jodha Akbar. Every day, he went to Karjaat for shooting and then returned to Mumbai and rehearsed for Film Fare Award. Moreover, his body was not well toned. After Dhoom2 he decided to relax for sometime. This over pressure of work resulted into serious injuries. While shooting a sword fight with Aishwarya Bachchan he was injured. Hrithik injured his knee even. He even suffered from fever. 

Earlier, I have mentioned that Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje Scindia, visited the shooting spot of Jodha Akbar. She talked with Aishwarya Rai. The two shares something common. Aishwarya Rai created controversy by kissing Hrithik in Dhoom2 and Vasundhra Raje Scindia created controversy kissing Kiran Mazumder Shaw. 

Jodha Akbar is not Aishwarya Bachchan’s third period film. Actually it is her forth. Before this, she worked in Umrao Jaan, Devdas, and in a Bengali movie titled Choker Bali. Aishwarya Bachchan’s face and physical appearance suits the period movies very well. Very often people tell Aishwarya Bachchan the she belonged to another era and her selection of movie reflected that old world reality.

For shooting a dinner scene in Jodha Akbar, Ashutosh Gowariker called in special cooks from Rajasthan to prepare the meal. Rajasthani traditional foods contain lots of ghee and spice. Since, Aishwarya Bachchan and Hrithik were health conscious, the cooks were instructed to use very small amount of ghee and spice in the food. The cooks prepared huge amount of meal in case if they had to re-shoot some scenes. The cooks were also instructed to make to dishes look very colorful. After the shot ended, all the crew of the movie were treated with the foods.
