Sri Lanka will play five ODI and three test matches against England at home. The series will start from 1 October. Sri Lanka could not play well in Twenty20 world cup 2007. However, their ODI performance is really very well. They were the runner up of the last ICC world cup. So, no doubt, Sri Lanka is favorite in the series. They will also have some advantages as the host team.

Sri Lanka’s star bowler Muttiah Muralitharan is expected to play a big role for Sri Lanka in the upcoming series against England.

I am giving the ODI squad of Sri Lanka below:

Mahela Jayawardene (c), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Dilhara Fernando, Sanath Jayasuriya, Kaushal Lokuarachchi, Farveez Maharoof, Lasith Malinga, Jehan Mubarak, Muttiah Muralitharan, Dilruwan Perera, Kumar Sangakkara (wk), Chamara Silva, Upul Tharanga, Chaminda Vaas, Gayan Wijekoon
