Miss England 2007 Georgia Horsley: To Eat or not to Eat

Yesterday and Today, I found that many people came to visit my blog for this entry: Miss World 2007: Georgia Horsley is Miss England 2007. So, I did some searching about Georgia and found out that Georgia Horsley has an interesting problem.

You know that models and actresses always try to stay slim so that they can remain hot and sexy. Georgia Horsley is not an exception either and she has done pretty well to keep her shape intact. It seems Georgia Horsley has done too well to keep herself slim and most women would feel jealous about this. However, Miss England director Angie Beasley does not agree with them and she has advised Miss England 2007 Georgia Horsley to gain some weight fast so that Georgia Horsley can increase her potential of winning the crown of Miss World 2007.

Daily Express wrote:
“Miss World judges like naturally curvy girls and don’t like the stick-thin women you see on the catwalks,” she said. “They promote healthy eating and I want to help them get that message across, so I’m giving it my all.”

Georgia was advised to put on weight by Miss England director Angie Beasley. She is a former model and Miss World judge.

Miss Beasley, 44, said: “Beauty pageants are meant to appeal to women everywhere and Miss World has always championed real women.”

I am a bit confused about this matter. I always knew that Miss World organizers wanted to show slim and sexy women in swimsuit. That is why, Georgia Horsley became Miss England 2007 as she has gorgeous slim figure.

About her diet, Daily Mail wrote:
As well as gorging on high-fat treats, Georgia's diet will include healthy meals and snacks. Her diet will include fish suppers, nuts and plenty of avacados, all of which contain fatty oils essential for model-perfect skin and hair.

Georgia says she is hoping her mother's home cooking will help her go up a dress size.

She said: "My friends are amazed at how much I eat.

"I love chocolate and am hopeless at diets. I guess I'm lucky and just have a naturally fast metabolism."

Georgia has only 10 days to put on weight before she has to be in the Far-East to register for the month-long contest.

This news has generated a storm in the British media and I saw a number of newspapers and websites covering this topic.

Francine Clee wrote:
To put the icing on the cake, so to speak, now we have Miss England, North Yorkshire's own Georgia Horsley, being told she looks like she needs a good feed. I'm a bit confused myself, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Georgia didn't know if she was coming or going.
At nine stone and a size eight, Georgia is indeed a long way from being obese. But at a time when there is so much fuss about Size Zero stick insects, and about women's weight in general, I can't help feeling we should leave poor Georgia alone.

She looks pretty healthy to me, and I can well believe that she finds it hard to put weight on. It's some time ago now, but I can still remember when I could have said the same thing about myself. When you're very young, you tend to be the weight you are supposed to be.

Georgia Horsley gaining weight saga has caught the attention of The Spoof too and they have made a nice satire of incident. Mike Kreffel wrote:
Georgia Horsley, stick thin size eight model representing what remains of the British Empire, has been given an ultimatum, plump those rumps if she desires to win the select Miss World Pageant. "Men, even in Sanya, China, appreciate a jiggle to the wiggle on their women." reported the Daily Male.

"Girl, you gots no ass at all!" shouted Mee Won Cheex, head of the Miss World pageant judges, "You gots ten days to puff your duff!"

Poor Georgia Horsley! Normally, I am not a big of models and winners of beauty pageants. However, I feel sympathy for Georgia Horsley. For years, she tried to remain slim and now, she has to gain strength in a short time. Earlier, this month, Georgia Horsley contacted MySpace owners to remove the fake profile about her from their website. Telegraph wrote:
The fake entry for Miss Horsley says: "Hi I am Georgia Horsley some of you might know me some of might not I won Miss England on 30th June 2007. I am originally from Malton in North Yorkshire but at the mo I am living in London. Add me chat to me do whatever you want except leave me stupid jealous messages I hate keyboard warriors. Luv ya all."
It claims that she does not read, that she is a fan of former page three model Jordan and that her favourite films are horror films "as long as I have a man to hold on to".

This fake profile was made by someone who did not like her and was perhaps jealous of her success. Georgia Horsley is just 20 years old and she has to put up with this kind of pressure at such an early age. I hope that she does not lose her nerve and can impress everyone in Miss World 2007.

last day I read your article on Georgia Horsley. these informations help me to know about her eating habits

This Angie Beasley seems like a right clown to me.
What person in there right mind would come out
in the national media and call her own girl.
Or is this Beasley women just wanting attention at the expense of Georgia Horsley.
Seems to me they need different England organiser if thats the best the clown can come up with.
Anyway good luck for Miss World cos you'll need it with the clown backing you.....

Georgia Horsley is GORGEOUS! I watched her interview on NBC. She is very cute, and she also has a very nice personality and she is handling all of this nonsense about her weight very well. Georgia Horsley is perfect and she looks great. I don't think that the Miss World Pageant needs to dictate what the ideal weight for their pageant contestants should be. The United States has a big problem with health and obesity, and the Miss World Pageant should want their contestants to be a healthy weight as opposed to an ideal weight standard that they set. Check out my weight training and fitness website: www.bigguysgym.com and I vote for Georgia Horsley for Miss World 2007!
