EN 3500: Made in India Router from BA Systems

When it comes to the name of India in the IT field then it is often said that India is good in software. In fact, we hardly see India’s name associated with hardware production. However, this is changing slowly. You know that Dell has set up a manufacturing plant in India. Now, BA Systems has come with a Made in India router called EN 3500.

BA Systems has launched EN 3500 - a ‘Made in India’ router. Conceptualised and designed out of Bangalore and manufactured out of Chennai, it is a carrier grade, multi-process modular router operating system with inbuilt firewall, VPN, QoS, IDS, IPS and content filtering.

This is good news for the hardware industry of India. However, I searched a lot for information about this product and I could not find enough information. This PDF file will give you some idea but it is merely an advertisement from the company.

The new router is aimed at Indian enterprises. BA systems claims that the EN 3500 is a carrier grade, highly reliable, robust multi-process modular router. Moreover, it is compatible with operating systems with inbuilt firewall, VPN, QoS, IDS, IPS and content filtering.

“EN 3500 is the culmination of efforts by BA Systems to enable the tremendous growth in the enterprise sector in India. It is the result of a vision to participate and lead in changing the landscape for enterprise networking with indigenous product development,” said P.J. Singh - Founder and CEO, BA Systems.

I am very happy that India has now enough skilled workers in the hardware sector. Indian government wants to produce a lot of jobs for the economy and manufacturing is the best sector in this regard.

EN 3500 router provides an unparalleled level of integration of networking features such as stateful firewall, IP Security, VPN and QoS all rolled up in a single device. This feature-rich, high performance router is specifically targeted to provide significantly lower Total Cost of Ownership and Return on Investment benefits for enterprises through a combination of carrier class reliability, future proofing, advanced remote configuration and real-time management capability.

So, I am delighted to find that BA Systems could make EN 3500. Hopefully, we will see many more made in India hardware products in near future.
