I am a big fan of Google Trends. In fact, I visit Google Trends many times a day and it is quite fascinating to see the way things get changes there almost every hour. I am talking about Hot Trends where you can find a lot of 100 popular key words/phrases searched in the US.

I frequently visit the Hot Trends everyday and I wish that Google would start a separate Hot Trends that would indicate what people from South Asia are searching. Well, I am sure that we will see this kind of thing in near future when there will be a lot of users from South Asia. Nevertheless, I encourage you to visit Hot Trends whenever you can find time. I will try to write about some topics from Hot Trends from time to time here in this blog. In fact, in November, I have done so. This morning, I wrote about Myspace Teen Suicide. A few days, I wrote about the Indian girl with 8 limbs. My co-blogger Mehdi wrote about Geno's Pizza recall. Do you remember that earlier this month I wrote about The Texas Town for Sale on eBay?

I guess that I should have written more about Hot Trends than I should have. Anyway, what is so fascinating to me is the fact that often people get interested about news items that main stream media fail to give adequate coverage. For example, now at this moment, many people are searching about “Figure Skater Sokolova”. Her full name is Elena Sokolova and she is a famous figure skater.

Elena Sokolova (Russian: Елена Соколова)(born February 15, 1980 in Moscow) is a Russian figure skater. Sokolova is a three-time Russian national champion (2003- 2004, 2006), a three-time European medalist (2003-2004, 2006) and the 2003 World Silver Medalist. I checked in Google news with her name and did not find any news item of the last one week that can justify the fact that a lot of people are searching about Sokolova. In fact the keywords are: skater sokolova, sokolova figure skater, sokolova skater, figure skater sokolova, auguste and louis

In fact, Sokolova lives in Moscow, Russia and there is not a lot of information in English language about her. In fact, the only good website that I found about her is The Super Page of Elena Sokolova. It has some information in English language and some pictures. I also found a forum about Sokolova but no one posts any message there for over one year.

So, I am still confused after one hour of searching that why people are so much interested about “Figure Skater Sokolova” today. If people were interested about Natalia Sokolova then I would understand the reason. You know that many people are interested for nude and half nude pictures and Natalia Sokolova in the past decorated the cover and pages of Play boy. However, I did not find any information about “Figure Skater Sokolova” and Play boy or any nude picture of “Figure Skater Sokolova”. So, in the end, I am still confused more than ever before.
