Ahead of the first test against Pakistan, Indian has lost their two pacers- Shanthakumaran Sreesanth and Rudra Pratap Singh due to injury. Both the pacers are suffering from injury and got out of the squad. Pacer Munaf Patel has joined the team as a replacement. So, Indian squad now includes only two pacers. Thus it seems to create extra pressure on the spinners.

Reuters reported:

Sreesanth injured his bowling shoulder during Sunday's final one-dayer while left-arm RP Singh, who sat out that game, has an abdominal injury.

Both figured prominently alongside Khan during India's 1-0 test series win in England earlier this year.

Three spinners are now the strength of Indian team. It is true that Indian wickets are always helpful for the spinners. So, Captain Anil Kumble can think about including three spinners for the first test besides two pacers. However, first of all they need to decide if they play four bowlers or five bowlers in the first test against Pakistan. The first test will start at the Ferozshah Kotla stadium from 22 November.
