India vs Pakistan series 2007 is now knocking at the door. The series will kick off on 5 November 2007 through the first of five ODI matches. India and Pakistan will play five ODI and three Test matches in the forthcoming series. There is a bad news for the Pakistan team. Pakistan’s ace fast bowler Mohmmad Asif may miss the ODI series because of his elbow injury. However, Pakistan team seems to be very balanced to face the host India.
Most of the Pakistan players are young but talented. The squad also includes some experienced players like inform Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar etc. The advantage of Pakistan team is that almost all of their experienced players are now in good form.
Obviously, bowlers are the main strength of Pakistan team. With the return of Shoaib Akhter, Pakistan’s bowling attack looks very strong. However, Pakistan’s ODI squad lacks a quality spinner. Most of the Indian wickets are typically spinner friendly. I am not so sure that to what extent Shahid Afridi will be able to serve with his leg spin this time around. However, Pakistan squad has some good all rounder who have the ability to play a big part for Pakistan in the series.
The ODI Squad of Pakistan Team:
Shoaib Malik (c), Younis Khan (vc), Abdur Rehman, Fawad Alam, Iftikhar Anjum, Imran Nazir, Kamran Akmal (wk), Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Yousuf, Salman Butt, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, UmarGul, Yasir Hameed

The current Pakistan team is really very strong. The way they played in the Twenty20 world cup was simply impressive. Pakistan will also be determined to defeat India to take the revenge of their defeat to India in the final of Twenty20 world cup. I would like to see another India vs Pakistan exciting series.
