If you are a fan of India vs Pakistan cricket match then you obviously know about Shoaib Akhtar’s first ball dismissal of Sachin Tendulkar in a test match in 1999. With this dismissal, Shoaib Akhtar came into lime light in international cricket. From then on, whenever India and Pakistan faced each other either in Test or in ODI, Sachin-Shoaib dual always brought additional attraction.

Now, with another India vs Pakistan cricket series starting from Monday, the battle of Sachin Tendulkar and Shoaib Akhtar has become a much talked topic in the cricket world. However, situation has changed a lot over the last few years. Both Sachin Tendulkar and Shoaib Akhtar have missed a lot of international cricket mainly due to injury.

On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar still holds his place it the team with his consistent performance for India. Shoaib Akhtar is now determined to come back with his prime form against India to get out of his ‘bad boy’ image.

AFP reported:

"I promise I will do my best and give my full effort on the tour of India to help my team win both the one-day and Test series," said Akhtar.

"I have missed a lot of cricket due to injuries and other reasons but now I want to focus on my game. This may be my last tour so I must do something special for the fans in India so that they remember me in a good way."

India have found talented youngsters in Robin Uthappa, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh, but still depend on Tendulkar for setting or successfully chasing a stiff target.
