Ahead of the India vs Pakistan Test series 2007, there is a good news for the cricket loving fans. The test series will begin through the first of three test matches to be held in Ferozeshah Kotla stadium, Delhi on 22 November 2007. Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) is going to offer the tickets at a much cheaper price to attract the cricket fans in the stadium during the five day match. The price ranges from Rs. 40 to Rs. 250 for per day.

Hindustan Times reported:

The former law minister added that daily tickets would cost Rs.40, Rs.60, Rs.80, Rs.120 and Rs.250.

"The Rs 40 and Rs 60 tickets are for students and former players," said Jaitley.

Season tickets will cost Rs 200, Rs 400, Rs 800 and Rs 1,200 for different sections of the newly-renovated stadium while the tickets for the corporate box have been priced at Rs 7,500.

No doubt, it is a good initiative taken by DDCA. In today’s cricket, there are many more ways of generating money aside from selling tickets. Often, we see that the stadiums are empty in Test matches. So, I hope to see the Ferozeshah Kotla gallery full of cricket fans.
