After the end of second day, it becomes harder to decide who is now in the driving seat in the ongoing India vs Pakistan first test. Pakistan started the day with the score of 210 for 8. Two unbeaten batsman Misbah-ul Haq and Mohammad Sami added just 19 runs before Misbah-ul Haq got out at 82. At last, Pakistan could put on 231 runs in their first innings.

India’s top order batsman has completely failed to continue the success of Indian bowlers. India lost five wickets within 93 runs. At that time, even Indian fans were doubtful about if Indian innings could go near the Pakistan innings. However, excellent batting performance of VVS Laxman and Mahendra Singh Dhoni met the expectation of Indian fans. At last, India could finish the day with 228 runs losing six wickets. In the sixth wicket, Laxman and Dhoni added 115 runs for India. Dhoni scored 57 before getting out. Laxman is now batting on 57 along with Anil Kumble batting on 7. Earlier in the Indian innings, opener Wasim Jaffer scored 32 runs and Rahul Dravid came up with 38 runs. However, Dravid failed again to make a big score.

Among the Pakistani bowlers, both Shoaib Akhtar and Sohail Tanvir took two wickets each. Danish Kaneria took the wicket of Dhoni bringing perhaps the most important breakthrough for Pakistan. I think, gradually Sohail Tanvir is becoming the main strength of Pakistan bowling. Now, Indian fans are expecting a big score from Laxman in order to take a big lead for India.
